Last winter my friend and I were renting a space from this guy who seemed really nice at first, but would randomly act really hostile towards me. We were using the space and borrowing some of his tools to work on a car and in return we would help him with his projects and give him a couple hundred bucks a month. He had us working in this back lot of his full of rusty old tools and moldy trailers and stuff. Not really worth the money or the labor, but we needed the warm temperatures for our work and couldn't find another place to go. So, we stayed friendly, but decided we didn't really want to be best friends with the guy (he once smacked my hand for touching something of his!) He was always getting angry for unknown reasons, then being really slobberingly admiring of us and our work (never apologizing). He definitely had some kind of mental problem. Anyway, it finally came down when we were just a few days from leaving. He couldn't stand not having us there anymore to harass or something. We didn't argue or anything, we just said we were done with our work and would be going in a few days. So, the day before we were leaving he makes some weird demands of us to go camping with him at 5:00am the next day and we said we really didn't see the need to go so early (we were even willing to camp with him to avoid conflict) and so he started screaming and telling us we pushed him too far and we had an hour to get out or he was going to smash up our car and all the work we had done and it was just insane. As we were packing up (we had some 'tenant rights', but did not want to argue!) he started taking pictures of us and kept going for like 20 minutes until we left. Then he said "I want you guys to know I still consider us friends"!!!!! Oh yeah, and the night before that I had discovered he had stolen the return address label off a letter my mother sent me. He had stored it in a book (I promptly stole it back!). CREEPY!!!!!
We are super laid back people and are not into drama at all, but I am still having nightmares about this guy and though I'm not normally prone to revenge I think it would make me feel better to know he got what was coming to him.
Some details for ideas:
He is a homophobe, He is a white guy afraid of anyone with dark skin, He is constantly talking about how no one has any "integrity these days" (ironically, he doesn't either),
He is a junk collector with wild ideas about how he's going to make all this great stuff with his junk, He is petty about everything, He is competitive about how his lawn/landscaping looks in comparison to the neighbors, He thinks the bad economy will cause the lower classes to rise up and take all his stuff, He is a hypochondriac.
I am now over 1000 miles away from him.
Any ideas?
