As a kid, I went to a school where they had this unofficial "tradition" of bringing gifts for the teacher at the beginning of the school year. Parents would get together, raise some cash, and decide what to buy. No teacher ever demanded this, but you wouldn't dare leave one without the gift... What do you think of that?
